The summer... according to J.Crew! I frequently rely on J.Crew's lookbooks for everyday outfit inspiration and their summer edition (here) is no exception! I think they hit the nail on all of the trends. From animal print to color blocking to polka dots to bright colors, they covered everything.

Zara shirt, DIY ombre shorts

HAPPY FRIDAY! Only two more fridays until I finish school! And another bit of fantastic news! My wonderful mother has agreed to take outfit pictures for me, so I'm officially saying bye to mirror pics (thank god!). I was really surprised by how good she was; she's really good at focusing and getting the right light! who agrees with me!?

I bought this Zara shirt during my trip in Boston and haven't had a chance to wear it! I love Zara's shirts in general because the material is really nice, but I really love this shirt in particular! The girl on the shirt is so freaking cute; I wish I could dance like that, haha. I made my ombre shorts a few days ago! It's really easy to DIY them, so I'll do a post on making them!

Pop of Color (the Brad Goreski way)

So if you didn't watch "It's a Brad Brad World" on Bravo or don't know who Brad Goreski is, you probably won't understand the title of this post. But for those of you who are fans of the show or love Brad (I fall into both categories), you probably understand it.

Brad is known for his bold sense of style! He always wears bright colors and if the rest of his outfit is neutral, he always adds a pop of color! It seems to me that J.Crew has caught onto Brad's ways. I'm absolutely loving the red lips and the bright orange belt that adds a fun element to the look!

We're officially in Spring mode; well, we have been since the 20th. I love the spring because you can get away with wearing bright colors skirts, fun prints, and dresses! Madewell has obviously done a great job with these looks. My personal favorite is the third one on the top row! I think the monotone look with the POC (pop of color) looks so chic!

Let's get to work

             

I'm not even a college student yet and I'm already thinking about what I want to wear to wear. But then, I realized that since I want to be a doctor, I probably won't have many opportunities to show off my clothes. It's kind of depressing to think that I'll be wearing a white coat for work. But oh well.

Anyways, JCrew is always on top of things when it comes to work wear. They put an end to "What am I going to wear to work today?". Obviously, you can't wear a sequined skirt if you're a lawyer or a teacher to work. But if you have a job in the fashion industry, I'd say "Why not?!" to the skirt. It's a pretty fabulous article of clothing; come on, don't deny it! Overall, I love the pencil skirts! After the sequined one, I'd say my favorite is the cheetah print one.

I also love the navy blue suit. It looks really chic and work appropriate. It also kind of has a casual feel to it because of the tshirt that's paired underneath!

Girl Crush: Jenna Lyons

As far as girl crushes go, Jenna Lyons is at the top of my list! She has the chic-est style and has done so much for J.Crew. I personally love the last look because it's a modern twist on the office outfit. Which is you favorite look?

Thierry Mugler's Place

How breath-taking is Thierry Mugler's New York apartment. It's a 4,100 square ft. penthouse in Chelsea and is currently on the market for $7,995,000. I can't believe he is selling this place. How nice it would be to live here.

Nicole Richie Works it Out

Exciting new guys. I started a membership to my local gym today! As soon as I signed up, I worked my butt off for an hour on the treadmill. I wore the standard workout attire: Nike shorts and a thin, white vneck shirt. Now I know that working out isn't supposed to be a fashion affair, but I decided that  I would wear relatively cute outfits. For style inspiration, I always run to Nicole Richie and guess what I found? Millions of pictures of her in the best workout clothes and I've compiled a few of them here.

I've noticed a few things.  She always wears spandex leggings and a loose top. She completes the look with either a denim  or leather jacket. And finally, she wears a beanie, which I think is adorable. While I don't have paparazzi stalking me 24/7, after looking at Nicole's pictures, I now feel obligated to wear some decent clothes to the gym.

Hart of Dixie has quickly become one of my favorite shows. Not only does it have a juicy story line, but Rachel Bilson wears some pretty amazing outfits.  My personal favorite is the one where she's wearing the leather mini skirt, belt, and a tshirt. Which is your favorite?
